Welcome to the Mass Industry Committee’s website where you will find information on all we do, and especially our very popular M.I.C. Hip Hop Award show, which takes place again at the Back Bay Events Center - August 5th, 2007. We have thrown numerous meet and greet networking events, each with hundreds of leaders of the Hip Hop community in attendance, along with key members of the media and several businesses also on hand. On this site you will find answers to most of your questions about our award show from last year and this coming year.
Last year The M.I.C. Hip Hop Awards provided an opportunity for artists all over New England to be recognized for a job well done; the awards illustrated what we can all achieve when we work together. Our collective voices and efforts as a scene were recognized last year as over 40 awards were given out, in a night of celebration and unity. Plans are underway for this year's M.I.C. Awards to be bigger and brighter than ever, so find out how you can be a part of what will surely be another magical night this summer. Our new TV show 617Live has been airing since New Year's weekend on WCEA Boston Comcast 26, every Friday at 8PM and live streaming over the web. The Mass Industry Committee once again is putting together its’ annual award show, hailed unanimously by the Boston area press as the event of the year, uniting all the elements of Hip Hop into an all night gala for all to enjoy in peace and harmony. We ask you to consider sponsoring our event, which is enormously costly for us to produce. The event will target the 18-25 yr old urban female and 21-40 yr old urban male markets; it will take place on AUGUST 5th 2007.
This year we have added our own urban lifestyle TV show to our promotional mix that is receiving great positive press wins. "617Live" airs every Friday at 8PM-9PM, in the 617 area code, for Greater Boston Comcast subscribers on channel 26 WCEA, and channel 58 (UHF). The show is a high quality urban lifestyle program.
