ALL URBAN ARTISTS IN NEW ENGLAND ARE ELIGIBLE FOR NOMINATION
The award goes to a nominee who utilizes www.OurStage.com to display talent while embracing the essence of Hip Hop.
Any artist is eligible for nomination once they have submitted and posted their material to www.OurStage.com which may then be voted upon by all registered users of the website.
The M.I.C. made this category with the hopes of nominees embracing new technology enabling the independent and major label artist to stand on an equal platform to be judged entirely upon their respective skills. This award will go to the artist with the most votes on Ourstage in the designated voting time period. The M.I.C. will restrict residency to New England for this particular award, check www.OurStage.com for details after July 1, 2007.
2006 PRESS
The Mass Industry Committee once again is putting together its’ annual award show, hailed unanimously by the Boston area press as the event of the year, uniting all the elements of Hip Hop into an all night gala for all to enjoy in peace and harmony. We ask you to consider sponsoring our event, which is enormously costly for us to produce. The event will target the 18-25 yr old urban female and 21-40 yr old urban male markets; it will take place on AUGUST 5th 2007.
This year we have added our own urban lifestyle TV show to our promotional mix that is receiving great positive press wins. "617Live" airs every Friday at 8PM-9PM, in the 617 area code, for Greater Boston Comcast subscribers on channel 26 WCEA, and channel 58 (UHF). The show is a high quality urban lifestyle program.
